It will probably improve when the developers decide that it is a high enough priority. I fly the 737 so I only land at airports and the behaviour of the AIs is generally quite logical. If you are landing at dirt strips then don't choose the 747 as one of your selected AIs. When I've tried it they just basically follow you around and just take off and land at the same airports (leading to some pretty insane situations like a 747 trying to land on top of you on a tiny dirt track on the Shetland Islands)It means you get aircraft taxiing and taking off and landing whenever you are at an airport and you see them occasionally while flying. There is also a payware package called World Traffic that allows you to build custom traffic and routes. I run about six AI without too much of a hit on framerate. They have the external appearance but do not contain cockpits and detailed internals that have to be generated. AI aircraft can take processing away from the main sim so it's best to use the special AI aircraft that have been created by XPFW for this purpose. These aircraft will be generated at airports and in flight and follow real routes. Each time you choose one the menu gives you the option to pick which aircraft and livery it should be. You can set the number of aircraft to as many as you like. Go to the menu Aircraft/aircraft and situations/ and click the tab "other aircraft". ThanksAI aircraft are built in on x-plane, you just need to turn them on. I am just wondering if there is any ai traffic programs specifically for x-plane? More specifically, is there a program that is like world of ai for FSX or a program that can convert world of ai files for x-plane? I like the simplicity of quickly installing worldwide airlines into FSX from world of ai but I was hoping there was something like that for x-plane. See image below:Īll set! You should now have the updated WSSS + Mega Singapore Scenery’s updated ground routes and RAMP Starts definitions.I am new to X-plane and I enjoy the much more detailed scenery in x-plane compared to FSX.
#X PLANE WORLD TRAFFIC INSTALL UPDATE#
This will replace & update the WSSS WT3 GroundRoutes and Parking definitions. Drag this folder to your “X Plane 11” folder and replace files.
#X PLANE WORLD TRAFFIC INSTALL DOWNLOAD#
If you do not want to wait, we have a pre-generated Definitions, download the WSSS_WT3_FIX_HERE unzip this file and you will see one folder inside named “ClassicJetSimUtils”. And when you change to a new airport scenery that has slight changes on ground routes and definitions, WT3 will still use the old generated ground routes and parking defs which is not exact anymore to the new scenery and causes AI RAMP Starts wrong positions and misalignment.įirst, delete the WSSS old Parking and GroundRoutes definitions, to do it, you need to delete 3 folders:ġ.) “X Plane 11\ClassicJetSimUtils\WorldTraffic\ParkingDefs\ WSSS” <– Delete this folderĢ.) “X Plane 11\ClassicJetSimUtils\WorldTraffic\GroundRoutes\Arrival\ WSSS” <– Delete this folderģ.) “X Plane 11\ClassicJetSimUtils\WorldTraffic\GroundRoutes\Departure\ WSSS” <– Delete this folderĪfter you deleted it, you can just regenerate again WT3 Ground Routes and it will do the work for you but it will take some time to finish.

When you activate world traffic 3 AI on an airport, WT3 generates a static files that stores your current airports ground routes and Parking definitions to be used by its AIs so it will not regenerate again next time. You will have to force WT3 regenerate the ground routes again to get the new Ground Routes and Parking Defs based on the new installed airport scenery. That is because, you might have been using the previous scenery’s airports definitions (Ground Routes & Parking Defs). When you just installed a new scenery, sometimes you will notice that AI aircrafts are not following taxi ways anymore or even parking on misaligned RAMPS. Note: This World Traffic 3 fix is for our WSSS Mega Singapore Scenery
